Digital Marketing Drawing on her career in marketing expanding over a decade, Amy specialises in talks on subjects of Social Media, Google, YouTube, Websites, and Content Creation. Whether you require a workshop for a small team or a keynote for a large conference, Amy caters her content to the knowledge-level and size of her audience. She also creates tailored talks for marketing within your specific industry, so attendees get the most value for their business.
Female Empowerment Women currently make only 21% of the digital workforce and in the UK, men are twice as many male entrepreneurs as female entrepreneurs. Amy is passionate about encouraging women into STEM subjects and entrepreneurship. Having overcome many difficulties in her early career due to her gender, she now specialises in talks on the subject of: women pushing forward in male-dominate industries, inspiring women, and preparing young women in schools /universities for the job market.
Entrepreneurship As a business owner and entrepreneur, Amy knows the highs, lows and hard work it takes to build a successful company. She is partnered with Kent Business School as a mentor for their young entrepreneur programme and works with schools around the UK to provide support to young budding business people. She draws on her experience to bring talks on overcoming hurdles, inspiring and mentoring entrepreneurs, starting a business, networking and presentation skills. She even does handshake classes! As she says: “A handshake is the main ways we introduce ourselves to a new contact, yet so many people do it badly giving a terrible first impression. The art of a correct handshake should be taught in school!”
Mental Health In 2014 Amy was involved in a high-speed head on collision caused by a dangerous driver. She was left unable to walk unaided, with internal bruising and required several surgeries to correct her injuries. The car crash left Amy with PTSD, depression and anxiety, as well as chronic pain which she still has today. This caused her to attempt to take her own life in 2015. Not only did Amy survive this ordeal, but she used it as fire to push forward. During hundreds of hours of physiotherapy, psychotherapy, doctor’s appointments and surgeries, she continued to not only run her business, but grow it. She hired new staff members, took out a lease on her first office and grew her turnover by over 180%. Her agency AM Marketing was also named in the Google Top 30 Partners list, just a year after receiving their partnership status. This sheer determination to succeed and not be defeated caused Amazon to award Amy their Triumph Over Adversity Award in 2017. Amy now consults with companies and human resources departments on mental health issues as well as inspiring others to succeed in the face of adversity.
